These are selections from the the first two chapters of Hard Copy, an ongoing five chapter series of drawings. The series departs from a five-page, handwritten
document recording the 107 items purchased over the course of one day in 1977 from Giovanni’s Room, the first LGBT bookstore to open in the US in 1973. The
backside of the prints are scanned flyers advertising for local and national LGBT events found archived alongside the pages. The sales document and flyers were
scanned from the Giovanni’s Room records held at the John J. Wilcox Jr. Archives at the William Way LGBT Community Center In Philadelphia.
